Does your chain hang low?

I’m back again. This week I am going to talk about some cute jewelry. I think it is pretty safe to say every girl likes jewelry. It could be diamonds or gages; every girl wears some form of jewelry. I am more of a diamond kind of girl. Gages are neat, but they just wouldn’t look right on me. Other then diamonds and gages; there are many other different popular jewelry out. Today I am just going to discuss a few of my favorite pieces of jewelry.

My top two favorite pieces of jewelry out right now are: black and whitediamonds. I have both of these earrings. I wear them all the time. They go perfect with any outfit; which is nice. Some earrings out there can only be worn with certain things. These earrings are simple. For people who like to wear a little bling but not look over do it; these work great. Not only girls can wear these earrings; guys can wear them too. I have actually seen a lot of guys wearing them. If someone were to go out and look for these earrings today they would find they are very cheap. I know OMG has them for two dollars a pair. They are 100% fake. I am allergic to fake earrings and my ears get irritated from wearing these earrings. I found if I took them out at the end of the day instead of wearing them all day; my ears were not bothered by them.

A third favorite piece of jewelry of mine would be the feather earring. The feather earring is fun and funky; they really add character to an outfit. The earrings come in many different colors and designs. The feather earrings are not as “rewearable” as the two diamond earrings, but since the feather earring come in so many different colors it can be bought to match every different outfit. These earrings come in different sizes. So someone who had short hair could find shorter ones. Unless someone with shorter hair wanted their earrings to hang low; they could find longer ones too. I have not yet bought a pair of these earrings for myself; only because I already have feather extensions. I do plan on getting myself a pair very soon. I have found that the feather earrings are also very affordable. OMG has these earrings as well for 2 dollars. That is a good price.

Just whip your hair back and forth

Hey lady’s; Paige here. So, this week I am going to talk about the hottest accessories to be wearing today. Most of the accessories I am going to be talking about are going to be for hair.

The first accessory I will be discussing is a feather hair extension. This extension is extremely cute.  It can be worn with just about anything; it is perfect for all ages too.  These extensions come in many colors and designs. I like to match my feather to whatever color I am wearing. My extension is magenta and has 3 feathers on it. Like I said before they come in many colors; they have black and other neutral colors that would match any outfit worn. Since the feather extensions are so lite someone wearing them doesn't have to worry about getting a headach. I have actual hair extensions and I found after wearing them all day I got a head ache. Something as simple as wearing my hair in a pony tail gives me a head ache, but after wearing my feather extension all day I didn’t even have a head ache. So these extensions are very lite. These extensions are also very affordable. At OMG in the Lancaster Mall; these feather extensions can be bought for two or three dollars.

The second accessory I am going to be discussing is a sequin headband. This accessory is perfect for people who are always pulling up there hair, and want to “dress it up”. They can even be worn with sweats if someone wanted to look less sloppy. I have wanted to get a couple of these for a long time. I’m having a hard time finding them though. I know they can easily be ordered offline. The only place I have found them is at Icing in the Lancaster Mall. When I saw them there they were about 4 dollars. I have found them to be about the same price online, but due to shipping there more expensive. Since I have never wore one I do not know how comfortable they are, but I have heard they aren’t too tight, but they do tend to slide off. The sliding can be easily fixed with a bobby pin.

These are just two of the most popular hair accessories that can be found today.

Boots with the fur!

Hey, Paige here. So last week I talked about what jeans were most popular today. This week I am going to be discussing what shoe’s should be worn.  Normally I do not select a specific Store that sells the items I am discussing but today I am going to switch it up. I’m going to do so because Journey’s is the best store to find what shoe’s are “in.” I feel like Journey’s is always one step ahead. They always seem to have the newest brand out before other retail stores. Journey’s is expensive to me, so I normally wait until the shoe becomes a little more popular so I can buy it from other retail stores.
The first shoe I will be discussing today is MOCCASINS. These are my favorite. I just recently got a pair and I wear them as often as I can. They feel like slippers; nice, warm, and comfy. I wouldn’t suggest wearing them when standing or walking for a long period of time. They have a flat base and because of that it makes them uncomfortable to wear under those circumstances. Also they are not the most ideal shoe to wear in snow.  I haven’t tried spraying my moccasins with water repellant,  but the shoes do get wet very easily so I would suggest not wearing them, at least not in deep snow.
The second shoe I will be discussing is the short classic Ugg. Now, they do not have to be the brand “Ugg”. I think the brand is personally a little over priced but it was the first brand that popped up as being “in” this fall. The shoe be found in many other stores like “Shoe Show” or “Payless” or any other lower priced store and find short boots. I know Walmart, Kmart, and Target have them as well. So don’t think if they are not Ugg there not in style. I just purchased a pair of Bear Claw short boots, they were expensive. I didn’t pay for them. My mom bought them for me for winter. Those are also another expensive brand. Last year I bought a pair of boots for 20 bucks from Old Navy.
Those are two of the most popular shoes to wear right now. There are a couple other sandals that are popular but do to the weather change I think we need to start switching to fall fashion.

What's hot (Part 2)

Okay, so last week I talked about what shirts are popular right now, today I am going to talk about what JEANS are “in”. It'll be surprising to see what jeans came from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s; just like the shirts I introduced last week.

The first type of jean I will be talking about is the “skinny”. When I went to google to find some information about these jeans, I was surprised on what I found. The skinny’s originated from the 50’s! Guess who strutted them first, Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe! There were a few others but these were people who surprised me.  The skinny jean use to be called the “drainpipe” jean. People who wore them back then were thought to be rebels or punks. The same idea is thought to be true today. What people do not realize is the jean is becoming popular for all types of styles. A lot of women are wearing this type of jean today to show off what their momma gave them.  (:  I personally do not like the jean on myself. The only time I wear them is when I wear my boots. They make it easier to slip my boots on and off. The jean looks great with just about any shoe though. Wedge heel, flats, converse, flip-flop, moccasins.

The next type of jean is the FLARE. This is my absolutely favorite jean of all time. This jean was first worn in the 60’s! It was known as the “bell bottom” jean.  The flare jean has changed a little since its bell bottom days but it still has the same concept; it gives a curvy look. I don’t have much of a curve so that is why I like to where them. These jeans too, look good with any type of shoe.

Thirdly is the bootcut or “straight leg”. Some might think that they are the same as skinny jeans but they are not. They are a mix between skinny and the flare jean. This is for people who do not like a lot of flare or think the skinny jean is too tight at the ankle. The boot cut jean was invented in the 50’s! That is the oldest jean so far. Back then it was probably the easiest way the make jeans. The boot cut get’s its name “straight-leg” because of exactly how it sounds. The leg of the jean is completely straight all the way down. Most men wear this style of jean.

What's hot!

Hi, Paige here!
I am going to be talking about FASHION.I love to watch how trends change. It is funny too because everyone thinks whatever is in is the newest thing and in reality it is not new at all. Many of today’s trends are from the 80’s and 90’s. So for anyone who thinks their parents are not cool; they might want to start asking their parents for some clothing advice. I always like to stay up to date with what the hottest thing out. I do not always like what’s “in” but it helps me come up with my own design.
If it hasn't become obvious yet, I am going to be talking about what’s the latest thing to be wearing today and where it came from. I am going to start from head to toe, so I might have a couple “continued” blogs from this one.
First I want to talk about a couple shirts; Crop top, Pull over and Poncho
These tops are all similar. I personally would wear each one. I currently own two of these shirts and I think they are really comfortable. People might think the names are funny but each of them originated from their names.
The “Crop Top” came from the 90’s! It was formerly called the “belly shirt” and girls who use to wear it use to get weird looks but look around now, almost everyone is wearing one. Okay, maybe their not that cool but isn’t it crazy how things change? These shirts I would suggest wearing a camisole underneath. I personally feel they look better with an undershirt.
The “Pull over” came from the came from the 90’s as well. The pull over and crop top were both popular at the same time in the 90’s. The picture shown of the pull over is just an example. Not all of them have to be sweater material; some are just like t-shirt material. I love these shirts. They are comfortable and less form fitting, which is what I like most about them.

The “Poncho” came from the 70’s. When people think of poncho’s they might think of: rain ponchos, or the ones that a persons head does through; that looked like a rug. As someone might see they have really changed with time. These go along with the pull over. They are also comfortable and are perfect for less form fitting look. These are just some of the popular shirts that are out. Next week I will be discussing what jeans or bottoms are most popular right now.
